SMART Technologies Case Study
SMART Technologies created the Interactive White Board. At BETT, the largest education event in the world, Concept 2 Reality was challenged with launching SMART’s new range of Interactive Flat Panels, reinforcing the company as a global leader in the educational market.

The Challenge
The stand was only part of the event for SMART Technologies. The main commerce area of the event was a large Platinum Suite breakout room which had to be planned into private meeting rooms, demonstration theatres as well as a large classroom area for invited attendees.
The Goal
The overall goal was not only to launch the new products but also to showcase SMART’s award-winning educational software to both teachers and key educational figures. With the education market becoming ever more congested and digital, it was important for SMART to stand out and be recognised. The stand needed to be open, yet intimate, engaging to visitors whilst also allowing one-on-one demonstrations. Staff working on the event also needed to be able to direct key personnel/contacts up to the Platinum Suite for formal meetings.
The Solution
Following an initial strategy meeting in which the working/flow of the areas was discussed, Concept 2 Reality designed, manufactured, and installed the stand and the breakout areas to deliver SMART with their most successful event ever on time and within budget.

Discovery Education Case Study

The Challenge
Discovery Education had recently acquired Espresso Education. Whilst Espresso Education was a large player in the Education market, Discovery Education as a stand-alone company was less known. Our challenge was to bring Discovery Education more to the forefront without swallowing Espresso Education completely.
The Goal
The goal of the show was to bring to the attention of the attendees that Espresso Education as a brand had moved into the Discovery Education family. There would also be a couple of book signings on the stand to link the Discovery side of things back to Espresso and the goal was for both brands to seamlessly work well together.
The Solution
By using oversized Espresso images alongside the Discovery Education imagery, we were able to create a blended version of the stand that worked perfectly. 42” screens looked like laptops and a river formed out of carpet ran from the back wall graphic to the front of the stand. Visitors to the stand were able to engage with staff using the 42” screens for demos. This gave Discovery Education the perfect platform to take Espresso into their brand.
